A beta version of software is supposed to be very close to the final product, but, in practice, it is more a way of getting users to test the software in the first place under real conditions.  of SnapFS(TM), enhancing journal file systems with the capability to capture and retain multiple snapshot versions of files and folders.

SnapFS offers the ability to restore systems to older versions when necessary and to make instantaneous online backups. SnapFS beta will be demonstrated at Storage Networking World in Palm Springs, CA, April 9-11.
