Celebrating their eleventh year with a record number of more than 520 entries, the GSM Awards recognize achievement and excellence across the global mobile communications world. Winners were announced at the 3GSM World Congress Gala Awards dinner Tuesday evening in Barcelona.

The Awards were judged in two phases by an international panel of independent industry and subject matter experts, drawn from the academic, analyst, media and entertainment communities.

The GSM Association's awards are an integral part of the world's leading and most successful annual mobile industry event - the 3GSM World Congress - held in Barcelona for the first time this year. The black-tie Gala Awards dinner was attended by key mobile and entertainment industry leaders and representatives from governments around the world. The event was hosted by CNBC and featured a guest appearance by MTV's Entertainment Tonight host, Ryan Devlin.
