Motor Racing: Button still tipped to be a Head boy.
Button, 21, now at Benetton, has struggled to replicate the form that earned him the title Rookie of the Year after his first season in sport with Head's BMW-Williams team last year.
Button is yet to score a point and is being outpaced by his more experienced team-mate Giancarlo Fisichella at a Benetton team where he is on-loan for two years from Williams.
"Jenson appears to be fairly consistently behind Giancarlo Fisichella in the other car but I don't know the details of why that is," said Head."Jenson's performances last year were not one or two races, we saw in a number of races where he was very strong and in the latter part of the year he was extremely strong.
"I don't really have any doubt that he has the capability but there is a problem at the moment.
"I don't really want to put any additional pressure on him but how he gets out of this problem will be a measure of the strength and depth there and I am very confident that he will do it.
"I think many people are interested to see how Jenson copes with the gap between himself and his team-mate. It is something that he has got to deal with."
Button was linked with a move to Jaguar in 2003 after Sunday's European Grand Prix, but he later confirmed that he expects to see out his loan deal with Benetton, who will become the Renault team next season.
