The Motor City Brass Band presents an "American Salute: Celebrating America, American Composers and American Music," a high-spirited concert that is sure to get toes tapping. Under the direction of Conductor Craig Strain, audience members at the Southfield Centre for the Arts will stand and salute as the band pays tribute to our country through the performance of patriotic songs such as Morton Gould's American Salute, Hymn hymn, song of praise, devotion, or thanksgiving, especially of a religious character (see also cantata).
