Strong growth in production

The Company has already signed production agreements totalling $95 million for youth and animation programming, international drama and products for the Canadian market. Of this amount, $87 million is slated for 1999-2000, and Motion International executives are pleased to see the signed production volume far surpassing 1998-1999 figures so early in the fiscal year.

These agreements represent 1,235 half-hour television programs for Canadian and foreign broadcasters and more than 150 live stage performances in Canada.

Motion International announced that its youth and animation sector will grow by 27 percent in the current year and that these productions represent 23 percent of all production agreements announced today. This news is consistent with the Company's growth and value-creation strategy, as youth and animation products have excellent international market potential and lend themselves to strong brand merchandise and multimedia products.
