 jam band, Motherbug, will be in town Wednesday for a 9 p.m. show at the Wild Duck Music Hall, 169 W. Sixth Ave. Tickets are $8.

Bernard, a former member of too many groups to count, cut his teeth with the Hieroglyphics Ensemble before joining T.J. Northwest Royale headlines an evening of punk rock and ska with Miami Airlines, American Rebus and Avenue of the Strongest at 9 p.m. today at the Samurai Duck, 990 Oak St. The cover is $4.

Classic rock all-stars from the 1970s will converge on Portland's Memorial Coliseum on Thursday for a 7:30 p.m. show. The ensemble includes Peter Rivera (Rare Earth), Jerry Corbetta (Sugarloaf), Dennis Noda (Cannibal and the Headhunters) and Mike Pinera (Blues Image).
