Moth threatens green Olympics.


China wants to green up Beijing in time for the 2008 Olympics, but the effort is being threatened by a tiny flying pest that threatens to munch its way through the many trees that have been planted around the city.

The American white moth can lay up to 3,000 eggs at a time and is capable of defoliating a tree in days, according to according to
