Mortgage company COO ranked among best entrepreneurs.
Cohn received her "Stevie" in the "Best Entrepreneur--Service Businesses--Up to 2,500 Employees" category at ceremonies held at the New York Marriott Marquis Hotel on March 2. Over 180 nominated women executives and entrepreneurs from the U.S. and other countries attended the event, which honored businesswomen in 34 different categories.
"I am honored to be recognized by the business community, especially women in business, for my firm's continued hard work and success," stated Cohn after receiving her award.
"I thank my entire Manhattan Mortgage team for being part of our success and share this award and recognition with each of them."
A respected industry leader, Ms. Cohn founded Manhattan Mortgage Company 22 years ago and has built it into a multi-billion dollar company--the largest residential brokerage of its kind in the greater metropolitan New York marketplace.
A prolific loan originator, she has been named the country's top mortgage broker six times in the past ten years and has finished no lower than third on four other occasions, according to rankings published in Mortgage Originator Magazine.
She has also been named top residential mortgage broker in the northeast ten years in a row.
The Stevie Awards for Women in Business honor women executives, entrepreneurs, and the companies they run--worldwide.
Often referred to as "the business world's own Oscars," Stevie Awards are conferred in four programs: The American Business Awards, The International Business Awards, The Stevie Awards for Women in Business, and the Selling Power Sales Excellence Awards.
Honoring companies of all types and sizes and the people behind them, the Stevies recognize outstanding performances in the workplace worldwide.
In addition to ten New York offices, Manhattan Mortgage has branches in Upper Montclair, NJ and Palm Beach, FL, and is licensed in Connecticut, Massachusetts, Vermont, New Hampshire, North Carolina, South Carolina and California. It also brokers loans in Colorado.
