Morgan W. Guenther

Morgan W. Guenther of Denver, president of the Colorado Beer Distributors Association since 1985, died Sunday, July 9 at Rose Medical Center. Guenther was 62.

A graduate of Kenyon College in Ohio, Guenther was hired as the first legislative analyst for the Denver City Council. Four years later, he moved to the United States Brewers' Association, first in New York and later in Washington, D.C., where he served as vice president. After returning to Denver in 1983, he retired from the organization.

Guenther was named president of the Colorado Beer Distributors Association in 1985, a position he held until the time of his death.

He is survived by four children, Deborah S. Hammond, Evergreen, Morgan P. Guenther, San Francisco, Lindy Haislip, Severn, MD, and Phillip Guenther, Tampa, and three grandchildren.
