He will be based in New York and report to Neal Shear and Jerker Johansson, Co-Heads of Institutional Sales and Trading. In this new role, Mr. Dweck, 51, will oversee and help build the Strategic Analytics, Modeling and Systems Group, which will focus on creating and developing models and systems designed to maximize effectiveness in sales and trading. Mr. Dweck also will work closely with the Information Technology Department. "We are delighted that Jay has decided to join the Firm," said Zoe Cruz Zoe Cruz (born February 2 1955) was appointed Co-President of Morgan Stanley on February 9 2006. Mr. Dweck will join Morgan Stanley from Goldman Sachs where he worked since 1994, most recently as Head of Equities Strategies. During his time at Goldman Sachs, he was a Participating Managing Director and held several senior positions, including Head of Core Strategies. Prior to joining Goldman Sachs, Mr. Dweck was president of 100% Software Solutions. He also was a vice president of Simulation Sciences Inc., president of JSD JSD abbr. Latin Juris Scientiae Doctor (Doctor of Juristic Science) Simulation Service Company, a member of the MIT MIT - Massachusetts Institute of Technology Energy Lab and vice president of Merix Corporation. He earned B.S., M.S. and Ch Eng degrees in Chemical Engineering and a B.S. in Math from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Massachusetts Institute of Technology, at Cambridge; coeducational; chartered 1861, opened 1865 in Boston, moved 1916. It has long been recognized as an outstanding technological institute and its Sloan School of Management has notable programs in business, . Mr. Dweck will join Morgan Stanley in August of 2007.
