He will apply his 20 years of investment banking experience in providing capital raising and merger and acquisitions advice to clients in the infrastructure software, security, network and systems management software, internet and on-line business and technology-enabled businesses.

Doug has focused his investment banking career on technology transactions, and over the past two decades has closed over 65 transactions with aggregate transaction value in excess of $1 billion. Most recently, he advised Preventsys on its sale to McAfee, Systems Research Development on its sale to IBM (International Business Machines Corporation, Armonk, NY, www.ibm.com) The world's largest computer company. IBM's product lines include the S/390 mainframes (zSeries), AS/400 midrange business systems (iSeries), RS/6000 workstations and servers (pSeries), Intel-based servers (xSeries) , Rainfinity on the sale of certain assets and intellectual property rights to Symantec, iPIX on its sale of certain assets and intellectual property rights to eBay, and Medi.com on its sales to MedifaxEDI.

Mr. Burke previously led the Software and Services practice at Pagemill Partners and at Montgomery & Co. Mr. Burke also has headed the private placement, emerging growth and software groups at Tucker, Anthony Sutro & Co. He received his B.A. with honors in economics from Dartmouth College Dartmouth College, at Hanover, N.H.; coeducational; chartered 1769, opened 1770, the ninth colonial college (see Wheelock, Eleazar).
