Morgan Joseph Adds Three Managing Directors In Corporate Finance; Two Senior Vice Presidents Also Join High Yield Department.

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 15, 2003

Morgan Joseph & Co. Inc., a full-service investment bank focused on middle market companies, announced today the addition of three new Managing Directors to the firm's 50-person Corporate Finance Department. The firm also reported that two new Senior Vice Presidents have joined its High Yield Department.

The new Corporate Finance appointments are Evan Klein, Peter G. LaFleche, and S. Randy Lampert.

Joining Morgan Joseph's High Yield Department sales group are Connell Byrne and James Platek. The department, which began operations at the start of this year, now is comprised of a trading, research and marketing staff of 16 people.

Mr. Klein, with 15 years of investment banking experience, has been a Director of Investment Banking and Head of Media, and Entertainment at SG Cowen Securities. Previously, he was a Principal at Prudential Securities, and a Vice President at Allen & Company Incorporated.

Mr. LaFleche, prior to launching his own firm in 2001, had been Managing Director and Head of the Consumer Group at Needham & Company, Inc. Previously, he was with Dillon, Read & Co. Inc. (now UBS UBS Union Bank of Switzerland
