 Carol Martinez, associate vice president of media relations for LA Inc., the Convention and Visitors Bureau, the feud is completely one-sided.

The issue came to the forefront recently when the San Francisco Convention & Visitors Bureau launched its "Not in L.A." advertising campaign touting--what else--all of the things San Francisco has to offer that Los Angeles does not.

The campaign, aimed at Angelenos, is meant to position Frisco--oops, sorry--as an alternative to other destinations such as Las Vegas.

While they do live in the only city with the Golden Gate Bridge Golden Gate Bridge, across the Golden Gate from San Francisco to Marin Co., W Calif.; built 1933–37. Its overall length is 9,266 ft (2,824 m); its main span across the strait, 4,200 ft (1,280 m), is one of the longest bridges in the world. Joseph B. , Martinez informed San Franciscans in a recent radio appearance that L.A. is just not as worked up about the rivalry.

"It's like San Francisco wants to get angry about L.A.," Martinez said. "That's fine, as long as they continue to be our No. 1 visitor market. They don't have a theme park, they don't have a Walt Disney Concert Hall This article or section may contain original research or unverified claims.
