More than just business.

When a CPA (Computer Press Association, Landing, NJ) An earlier membership organization founded in 1983 that promoted excellence in computer journalism. Its annual awards honored outstanding examples in print, broadcast and electronic media. The CPA disbanded in 2000.  introduces someone as their partner everyone assumes that it is a business relationship and nothing more. Well, Larry Becker and I have been business partners for more than 20 years and our partnership goes way beyond just business.

Larry and I grew up in the San Fernando Valley San Fernando Valley

In 1984, my daughter was diagnosed with leukemia leukemia (lkē`mēə), cancerous disorder of the blood-forming tissues (bone marrow, lymphatics, liver, spleen) characterized by excessive production of immature or mature  and on many occasions in the 16 months she lived with the illness, Larry donated blood to her, once even leaving a dinner with friends to give white blood cells White blood cells

Only about 15 percent of kidney transplants are done with living donors, the other recipients must wait about five years before receiving a kidney from a nonliving donor.

After the surgery I went to the transplant clinic about three times a week for six weeks. When talking to Noun 1. talking to - a lengthy rebuke; "a good lecture was my father's idea of discipline"; "the teacher gave him a talking to"

the other patients the first question they would ask me was how long was my wait for a kidney. When I told them I had a living donor and I never had to go on dialysis, they would ask who the donor was. When I told them it was my business partner, they would say, "He is some partner!" For many years I have known that Larry has been "some partner" and now I am glad other people know as well.

Five months later, Larry's kidney is working great. I wish everyone could be blessed with a friend as caring as Larry Becker.
