More office space consolidated by Paterson, N.J. officials.

Interior Contracting Corporation has announced the start of Phase II of the State of New Jersey Paterson consolidation project. The state is consolidating many of its Paterson-area departments into six floors at 100 Hamilton Plaza in Paterson. Located in the heart of the city's downtown district, 100 Hamilton Plaza is owned by an affiliate of Mountain Development Company.

Interior Contracting Corporation completed the first phase of the project approximately 18 months ago. During this phase,, an entire 17,000-square-foot floor was reconstructed with all-new electrical, phone and data infrastructure was installed within 23 days. Interior Contracting Corporation was responsible for providing complete pre-construction services, including budgeting during the lease negotiations and later value engineering during the space design phase.

During the second phase of this project, Interior Contracting Corporation is completing the demolition and reconstruction of six floors within the facility. Each floor is being done as a separate project since many of the state's departments are existing tenants. Therefore, Interior Contracting Corporation must work with extremely stringent time parameters to move the occupants of each floor into their space and then begin on another floor.
