More Women Than Men Choose Golf over Sex - Golf Digest/Golf for Women Survey; Massive Gender Survey Explores Behavioral Differences of Men and Women Golfers.

 -- Men are 18 times more likely than women to break a golf club in anger on the course. Women are 19 times more likely to cry. Such are the revealing and surprising findings of the most extensive gender survey on golf, conducted by the editors of Golf Digest Golf Digest is a monthly golf magazine published by Advance Publications in the United States. It is a generalist golf publication covering recreational golf and men's and women's competitive golf.  and sister publication Golf For Women. Nearly 5,000 subscribers of both publications (2,262 men, 2,440 women) with an average age of 53 participated in the survey.

Golf and Sex:

--Twice as many women think golf courses are a good place to pick up a date.

--Almost half of the men (47%) admitted to getting into a "verbal confrontation" with other golfers on the course vs. 27% of women.

Fashion

--Women are more likely to carry a rain suit but less likely to play in the rain.

--Women own a lot more golf shoes then men (21% of women admit to owning six or more pairs of shoes, compared to 7% of men).
