More than 1,000 scientists are meeting this week (6/14-6/19) in Bal Harbour, Fla., at the Sixty-fifth Annual Meeting of the College on Problems of Drug Dependence (CPDD CPDD calcium pyrophosphate deposition disease. ) to discuss their latest findings on drug abuse and dependence.

The College is the largest and oldest organization that supports research on the scientific explanation of drug use and dependence. A broad range of research that addresses mechanisms for development of drug dependence, prevention and treatment of the disorders will be presented. The meeting will be held June 14-19 at the Sheraton Bal Harbour Beach Resort. On Sunday morning at the Plenary Session (Grand Ballroom) achievement awards will be presented to outstanding scientists for their contributions to the field of addiction science.
