Mooney viscometer tests scorch, viscosity and stress relaxation.

The UM-2050 Mooney viscometer is featured in the company's six-page, four-color, fold-out brochure. The Model UM-2050 consists of one main testing unit and one sub-unit of control and data analysis equipped with one IBM compatible PC, color monitor, CD-ROM, hard disk and one printer.

Viscosity tests conducted by the machine include Mooney initial, minimum viscosity, maximum viscosity, viscosity values of T5 and T35, or at T3 and T18, or any other two points in scorch test, viscosity-time curve and test temperature curve.

Scorch tests conducted include scorch time at T5 and T35, at T3 and T18, or others, scorch-time curve, test temperature curve and cure index (including small rotor or large rotor test).

Stress relaxation tests conducted by the unit include relaxation time, percent of viscosity decay, the value of the exponent, the constant, the correlation coefficient and the area of the test, and plot of log Mooney units versus log time.

This instrument is able to set up control limits by the standards of viscosity values or scorch time. Any excess over the limits may be printed out automatically for identification.
