Moody's analyst, Merrie Frankel, is new chair at ULI.

The New York District Council of the Urban Land Institute (ULI) has appointed Merrie S. Frankel, a senior credit officer/vice president in the Real Estate Finance group at Moody's Investors Service, to the position of Chair for a three-year term that is effective July 1.

Frankel had been ULI New York's assistant chair and vice chair of the education committee for the last three years and had served on the Executive Committee since the inception of the six-year-old New York District Council of ULI. ULI is a Washington, DC-based nonprofit education and research organization that is dedicated to responsible land use. Frankel assumes the responsibilities as chair from outgoing chair, Barry G. Moss, a partner with Ernst & Young.

"Ms. Frankel has a deep-rooted commitment to ULI New York and it has been evident from day one," Mr. Moss says. "I know she will take our organization to even greater heights by instituting new ideas and by spreading her enthusiasm."
