Montreal mega centre for intellectually disabled opposed.A petition signed by 4,640 people opposes a government plan to establish a single major center to provide services for the intellectially disabled and persons with Autism autism (ô`tĭzəm), developmental disability resulting from a neurological disorder that affects the normal functioning of the brain. It is characterized by the abnormal development of communication skills, social skills, and reasoning. Spectrum Disorders. In Montreal, it was tabled in the Qurbec National Assembly. Instead, the petitioners are asking the government to establish three service areas in East, Central, and West Montreal that "would ensure continuity of specialized and personalized per·son·al·ize tr.v. per·son·al·ized, per·son·al·iz·ing, per·son·al·iz·es 1. To take (a general remark or characterization) in a personal manner. 2.
