Montreal juggles three fests.The establishment of a new major international film gathering in Canada has caused quite a melee. The L'Equipe Spectra-led Le Festival International de Films de Montreal was originally created to complement Montreal's Le Festival du Nouveau Cinema. However, in a recent twist, Daniel Langlois Daniel Langlois is the president and founder of the Daniel Langlois Foundation, Ex-Centris, and Media Principia Inc.[1]. Daniel Langlois also founded Softimage Inc., serving as its president and chief technology officer from November 1986 to July 1998. , president of Le Festival du Nouveau Cinema, announced his resignation as a result of a conflict between his festival and the Spectra event.
