Monterra Wines and Riedel Toast the Holidays with Special Promotion.

NAPA, Calif. -- Monterra wines and Riedel will help consumers toast the holidays with a special promotion. Monterra retail displays will feature an offer for two Riedel "O" Shiraz glasses at a preferential price to the consumer where such promotions are permitted.

Award-winning Monterra wines are created exclusively from grapes grown in Monterey County, California's coolest wine region. Most of the fruit used is grown and harvested from the San Bernabe vineyard estate, the most diverse single vineyard in the world. Monterra wines include a Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Shiraz, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon which retail for about $ 9.00.

Monterra Shiraz recently won gold medals in the 2005 Orange County Fair Wine Competition, 2005 Critics Challenge International Wine Competition, and the 2005 San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition. The wine is available in retail stores and on wine lists nationally as well as in Canada and the United Kingdom.

The Riedel "O" glass features an innovative stemless design. Its design is based on the benchmark Riedel Vinum glass whose shape, size, and diameter of rim is designed to enhance the world's most important varietal wines. With the Riedel "O" glass, broken stems have become a thing of the past. The glasses offered during this holiday promotion typically retail for $25.00 per pair and are specifically designed to enhance the taste of the popular red wine Shiraz -- also known as Syrah.

Monterra wines are created by Delicato, recently named fastest growing among California top ten wineries. Delicato is the major producer in the Monterey wine-growing region, annually harvesting more grapes from the region than any other winery. Last year, the winery accounted for about 16% of the total Monterey harvest. Delicato owns the San Bernabe Vineyard located in the southern part of the county.
