 announced an agreement for Montell's divestiture The breakup of AT&T. By federal court order, AT&T divested itself on January 1, 1984 of its 23 operating companies, which became known as the Regional Bell Operating Companies (RBOCs).  of its minority interest in Titan Himont Polymers (THP) to PNB and the Chao Group. THP owns and operates a 120,000 metric ton Spheripol polypropylene polypropylene (pŏl'ēprō`pəlēn), plastic noted for its light weight, being less dense than water; it is a polymer of propylene. It resists moisture, oils, and solvents.  plant in Johor, Malaysia that will be renamed Titan PP Polymers. Terms of the sale were not disclosed.
