Montana Governor proposes more free recreation.


Montana Governor Brian Schweitzer Brian David Schweitzer (born September 4, 1955) is an American politician from the U.S. state of Montana. Schweitzer is a Democrat and the current governor of Montana, serving since January 2005.  s 2007 proposed budget proposes includes waiving fishing licenses for people over the age of 62 and up to the age of 15, which is part of his plan to increase interest in the outdoors.

French philosopher, physician, and musician who founded (1913) and spent much of his life at a missionary hospital in present-day Gabon. He won the 1952 Nobel Peace Prize.
 has also been praised by conservation and fishing groups for his proposal to spend $15 million during the next two years to buy more park land and fishing access sites.

An editorial by the Helena Independent Record sees the proposed budget as an investment.
