Kris Smith pitched a two-hitter with eight strikeouts, and Nate Nystrom and Landon Schacht hit solo home runs to lead host Monroe to a 10-4 prep baseball win over Oakridge on Saturday for the Trico League's No. 2 seed in the state playoffs.
Nick Mooers was 2-for-4 with a two-run double and three RBIs for the Dragons (20-7) to join Trico top seed Harrisburg at state.
Oakridge beat Waldport 12-2 in an earlier game to advance to the game with Monroe.
