Monroe's mistakes lead to early exit from playoffs.

Bonanza scored three second-quarter touchdowns and held off Monroe 26-14, earning the opportunity to face top-ranked Santiam Christian next weekend.

Monroe, which lost three fumbles and two interceptions, rallied from a 19-0 halftime deficit to close within 19-14 with 9:37 left in the game.

Bonanza's second touchdown came two minutes later when Kyle Gomez returned an interception 34 yards to the Dragon 9, and four plays later ran it in from the 11.

With six seconds left in the first half, Gomez made it 19-0 after catching a Nieraeth pass and turning it into a 40-yard scoring play.

Monroe ended the season with a 5-4 record. Bonanza, the third-place team from the Southern Cascade League, improved to 7-3.

DAYTON - The No. 3-ranked Pirates scored 36 points in the opening quarter and led 49-0 at halftime.

Tyler Wilson gained 131 yards in just five carries and scored twice, and T.J. Johnson scored on a two-yard run and passed 39 yards to Wilson for another score for Dayton, which will travel to play Gold Beach in the next round.

Jeff Harper had 135 yards in 13 carries and scored two touchdowns, and Matt Penrod carried 10 times for 103 yards and two TDs for Central Linn.

The Tigers, who outscored the Panthers 34-0 in the second half, had 316 yards on offense and held to Chiloquin to just 34. The Panthers also had four turnovers.

Neil Faber added 53 yards and a TD in six carries, and Marc Rogers Marc Rogers is a Canadian acoustic and electric bassist.

Triangle Lake will host Pine Eagle in the second round.

Shaun Jobe gained 89 yards in 12 carries and scored once, and Stormy Bateman had 82 yards in 10 carries and a TD for Triangle Lake. Bateman also caught three passes for another 64 yards and a score.
