 Imaging Inc., a global provider of font and imaging technologies, is leading a Textual Revolution at Booth #60 of the BREW 2006 Conference, May 31- June 2 at the Manchester Grand Hyatt in San Diego. Monotype Imaging's presence at the show will feature a speaker presentation, technology introductions and a series of demonstrations surrounding the launch of the company's scalable, multilingual capabilities for QUALCOMM's BREW(R) solution, including a suite of fonts that will add a new dimension to cell phone communications.

Bryan Comeau, senior software engineer at Monotype Imaging, will lead a technology seminar titled, "The Textual Revolution: How New Capabilities Using Scalable Fonts and Multilingual Technology Can Vastly Improve your BREW Offering." The presentation will be held Friday, June 2, in room Manchester C from 1:30-2:30 p.m.

The BREW 2006 Conference also will feature mobile phone demonstrations at the QUALCOMM and Monotype Imaging booths that highlight Monotype Imaging's iType(R) font engine and WorldType(R) Layout Engine A layout engine, or rendering engine, is software that takes web content (such as HTML, XML, image files, etc.) and formatting information (such as CSS, XSL, etc.) and displays the formatted content on the screen.  technologies, licensed by QUALCOMM and integrated into its uiOne(TM) offering.

The uiOne solution enables over-the-air downloads of UI designs, allowing consumers to change the look of their handsets with themes and other customizable features. uiOne demos at BREW 2006 will also feature Monotype Imaging's scalable, theme-based fonts.
