Monitor Delivers Marketing Messages.

The Venus Market Monitor provides Internet-delivered stock market data, which operators can mix with customized messages. The monitor can be used to attract the attention of and to deliver marketing messages to people passing by the front of a financial services company.

Daktronics says the program eliminates the need for operators to update market data manually for "one low monthly fee."

The software works directly with Daktronics Venus series controllers, including Venus 1500 and Venus 7000 systems. It can display up to 10 stocks at a time or up to 300 stocks available at additional cost.

Warner Group Inc., a financial services company based in Sioux City, Iowa, says the system has helped the company clarify, its positioning message.

"Our name always left people wondering what it is we do," says Dody Jonas, Warner Group vice president and branch manager. "Now that we have the sign showing stock quotes, everyone knows what we mean by a financial services company."

Warner Group also uses the system to announce nonprofit activities happening in the Sioux City area, advertise the company website and report local news.
