Mongolia Gold Resources mining equipment arrives in Mongolia.
The equipment was shipped in three 40-foot containers and arrived two weeks ahead of schedule. The equipment consists of two compressors and two air tracks, hand drills and ancillary equipment. This equipment complements the new Caterpillar equipment, namely a D-8N bulldozer, a 988F loader and two 27-tonne dump trucks purchased and delivered earlier this year.
In addition, the company announced the appointment of G. Dembereldorj as vice president, Mongolia. Dembereldorj was formerly a senior government official holding positions with the Mongolian Ministry of Mining and Geology, Ministry of Environment, and Ministry of Foreign Affairs, including representing the Mongolian government in 25 countries.
He has been associated with the company for two years and has played a vital role in the company's progress in Mongolia. Dembereldorj is fluent in Russian and English.
Mongolia Gold Resources is currently developing its advanced-stage gold property in Mongolia. The Bumbat Gold project is located 125 miles west-northwest of the capital of Ulaanbaatar, and is scheduled to begin production in June 1996. -0-
