Mondry Elected President, Other Officers and Four New Directors Elected by Michigan Venture Capital Association.

The Michigan Venture Capital Association announced that Mitch Mondry, a co-founder and vice president of the early-state venture capital firm M Group of Birmingham, has been elected president. He succeeds Dick Eidswick, managing partner of Arbor Partners who was the organization's first president.

Also elected officers were:

Skip Simms , vice president, of the Ralph Wilson Equity Fund, Grosse Pointe Grosse Pointe (grōs point), name referring to five residential suburbs of Detroit, Wayne co., SE Mich. They include the city of Grosse Pointe (1990 pop. 5,681), inc. 1879; Grosse Pointe Farms, city (1990 pop. 10,092), inc. 1893, on Lake St.  Park.

Michael Bernard, secretary, of the Dykema Gossett Dykema Gossett PLLC is a law firm headquartered in Detroit, Michigan. Founded in 1926, the firm, known simply as "Dykema," has offices in various locations around the United States including Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles, and Washington, D.C.  law firm headquartered in Detroit.

After its founding in mid 2002, the group has spent the past year working with the State Legislature A state legislature may refer to a legislative branch or body of a political subdivision in a federal system.

Mondry is integrally involved in all aspects of the M Group's investment activity. He currently is a member of the Board of Directors of Stoneage.com, an M Group portfolio company, and Paramount Bank, a Michigan-based mortgage and commercial bank. He is also a member of the Board of Directors of the MVCA, Digital Detroit and the Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Detroit, and is a member of the advisory board of the Zell Lurie Institute for Entrepreneurial Studies at the University of Michigan (body, education) University of Michigan - A large cosmopolitan university in the Midwest USA. Over 50000 students are enrolled at the University of Michigan's three campuses. The students come from 50 states and over 100 foreign countries. . He currently hosts The Digital Hour, a radio show on WJR WJR Woodcock Johnson-Revised , and is the creator of a series focusing on financing businesses.

Prior to M Group, Mondry was Vice President of Stores and Customer Service for Highland Superstores, a publicly held, 92-store chain of consumer electronics and appliance stores. He served as CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization. Typically the president of the company, the CEO reports to the Chairman of the Board.  of Teamplayers, a personnel staffing company headquartered in Michigan and a portfolio company of M Group, prior to its sale in 1998.

Mondry is a member of the State Bar of Michigan and American Bar Association American Bar Association (ABA), voluntary organization of lawyers admitted to the bar of any state. Founded (1878) largely through the efforts of the Connecticut Bar Association, it is devoted to improving the administration of justice, seeking uniformity of law . He received his J.D. degree and M.B.A concurrently from the University of Michigan Law and Business schools. Mondry earned a B.A. in English, with Distinction, from the University of Michigan.
