Momentum's 'Passion Project' Unveils a New Twist on an Old Favorite This Holiday Season.

From Drum Lessons to Poetry, to Fly-Fishing Trips and Parties, Some of St. Louis' Most Creative Minds Will Auction Their Unique Talents and Passions to Benefit Local Charity

ST. LOUIS, Oct. 28 /PRNewswire/ -- Momentum, a global marketing agency with a major presence in St. Louis, has designed a one-of-a-kind auction, "The Passion Project," to benefit a local charity. More than 150 employees have already pledged their creative talents and personal passions as auction items for the event, an inaugural fundraiser for Our Little Haven, a residential care facility for abused and neglected children.

"We have a team of creative and passionate people who wanted to find a unique way to help the St. Louis community," said Greg Sullentrup, Momentum- St. Louis' Executive Creative Director. "Our office has really embraced this project and pledged an incredible line-up of one-of-a-kind auction items that we hope will inspire generous bidding."

The eclectic mix of auction items will include art, music, food, and things to do and see, all reflecting the passions of the 250 plus Momentum-St. Louis employees. With a passion for the holidays, Sullentrup has pledged a chartered bus tour of the most spectacular holiday lights in St. Louis. Likewise, original artwork, an acoustic set by Momentum musicians, and a guided upland hunting trip illustrate the unique talents and passions of Momentum-St. Louis staffers. An employee who is passionate about children has pledged a personalized, hand-illustrated children's book; another has offered a babysitting service. Others will design a calendar to be sold at the event, which features artwork created by the children at Our Little Haven. Momentum musicians have shown their myriad musical passions by pledging rock shows, a hand-built electric guitar and a personalized tune. A weekend equestrian has pledged an afternoon at the stables with horseback riding lessons, while a passionate baker will spend a month of Sunday mornings preparing and delivering homemade scones in time for breakfast.

"We encouraged all of our employees to reflect on what's really important to them and to use that passion to help others. We knew we could create something really amazing, with so many inspired and talented individuals offering their passions up for auction," said Jo Hart, who co-chairs the Passion Project with Jeff Gould. Hart has pledged several pieces of her pottery and hand-painted furniture.

While the auction will be closed to the general public, approximately 450 Momentum staffers, partners, clients and friends will have an opportunity to purchase auction items or services reflecting the gifts and passions of their co-workers and friends. Through its Passion Project, Momentum-St. Louis hopes to raise more than $10,000 for Our Little Haven.

"We've got such passion for what we do, and Momentum employees are matching it with their hearts and souls," said Ann Julien, director of development at Our Little Haven.

"Not only are Momentum employees using their many talents to create totally unique items for the auction, but -- through the calendar project -- they're also working directly with the children, making a positive connection with them and giving them a sense of pride and ownership in what they do," Julien added. "We've never had an auction quite like this before."

The idea for the Passion Project originated with Momentum-St. Louis employees, who were searching for a unique way to give back to the St. Louis community. Employees chose Our Little Haven as the beneficiary of the auction and they continue to lead the project from start to finish -- pledging their passions and organizing the event.
