Moldenhauer Promoted to President of SYSCO Food Services of Winnipeg Inc.

SYSCO Corporation (NYSE:SYY), North America's largest foodservice marketer and distributor, announced today that Dale E. Moldenhauer has been named president of SYSCO Food Services of Winnipeg Inc., a broadline distribution company located in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. Mr. Moldenhauer, who is currently regional general manager of the company's Calgary operation, will assume his new responsibilities effective June 29, 2003, the beginning of SYSCO's fiscal year 2004.

Thomas E. Lankford, SYSCO's president and chief operating officer, said Mr. Moldenhauer, 41, began his SYSCO career in 2001 when the company purchased SERCA Foodservice, Canada's leading broadline foodservice distributor. Mr. Moldenhauer began his foodservice career in 1984 as a sales representative for Scott National Co. Ltd, a division of Burns Foods, in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, then Edmonton, Alberta, and later transferred to the Winnipeg operation in 1991 as foodservice sales manager. Mr. Moldenhauer relocated to the company's Calgary branch in 1993 as sales manager of special projects, was named sales and marketing manager in 1994, foodservice sales manager the following year, and regional general manager of that operation in 2000.

Mr. Moldenhauer was born in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan and raised in Colonsay, Saskatchewan. He and his wife, Ladine, have two daughters and will relocate to the Winnipeg area in the near future.
