The new hotel, which will open in Spring 2002, will be the place where Mohegan Sun guests will discover the comforts and pleasures of reinvigorating and rejuvenating their minds, bodies, and spirits. Other elements of the project, including a new casino, a concert and sports arena, and 40 shops and restaurants will open this fall. In creating Mohegan Sun's hotel, the designers -- the Rockwell Group, Kohn Pedersen Fox Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates (also known by the acronym KPF)is a leading international architectural design firm located in New York City providing urban design and master planning for public authorities and private companies. Associates, and Hirsch Bedner Associates -- reached back to the origins of Mohegan culture and the natural history of Connecticut Connecticut began as three distinct settlements, referred to at the time as 'Colonies' or 'Plantations'. These ventures gradually were finally combined under a single royal charter in 1662. . The western bank of the Thames River was once rich with enormous amounts of quartz crystal A slice of quartz ground to a prescribed thickness that vibrates at a steady frequency when stimulated by electricity.
