Mohawk keeps title hopes alive.

Brody Wilkins scored two touchdowns in the fourth quarter as defending state champion Mohawk fought off a second-half comeback by host Wallowa to defeat the Cougars 50-42 on Saturday and advance to the Class 1A prep football state championship semifinals.

The Indians (11-0) led 30-8 at halftime before Wallowa scored 20 points in the third quarter to close to within 38-28.

Wilkins ran for 142 yards and four touchdowns in 14 carries and also scored on an 80-yard kickoff return to start the game. Wilkins, who finished with 120 return yards, also intercepted four passes.

Teammate Dean Krull gained 116 yards in 16 carries and scored once.

Dufur 60, Lowell 14: Jason Reed scored five touchdowns and passed for two more to pace the host Rangers.

James Byrne scored on a 47-yard run in the opening quarter, and Charles Storie hauled in a 10-yard scoring pass from Daniel Casarez in the fourth quarter for the Red Devils.

Class 4A

Baker 53, North Bend 14: Harrison Collard scored three touchdowns, and Derek Howerton scored once and passed for two more to lead the Greater Oregon League champion Bulldogs (7-3) at home.

Collard finished with 162 yards in 15 carries. Howerton carried 12 times for 188 yards.

Mat Watson caught a 20-yard scoring pass from Shawn Mitchell in the second quarter and Mitchell scored from 10 yards in the fourth period for North Bend, which finished its season with a 6-5 record.

Class 3A

Gold Beach 50, Dayton 20: Herbie Smith scored two touchdowns, and Jeffrey Knox scored once and passed for another score to lead the No. 4-ranked Panthers at Marshfield High School.

Smith scored on runs of 80 yards and 55 yards in the first half to lead Gold Beach to a 28-14 halftime lead.

Travis Moore, James Taylor, David Bonotto and Mitch McDonald also had touchdowns, and Ricco Lang passed for a score for the Panthers, who face Santiam Christian next weekend in the semifinals.

Nyssa 27, Myrtle Point 13: The visiting Bulldogs took a 21-0 lead as they ended the Bobcats' season with a 7-4 record.

Evan Rice hooked up with Scott Buche for an 13-yard touchdown pass just before halftime to pull Myrtle Point to within 21-7 after Buche's conversion kick.

Buche then connected with Dylan Hitner for a five-yard score to bring the Bobcats to within 21-13 in the third quarter before Nyssa clinched the win with a four-yard touchdown run by Anthony Holcomb in the fourth period. Regis 47, Bandon 0: Eric Derschon scored three touchdowns to lead the No. 1-ranked Rams at Marshfield High School.

Derschon scored on runs of eight and three yards in the second quarter and a 28-yard run in the third period.

Justin Silbernagel opened the scoring with a 32-yard interception return in the first quarter, and Dylan Wells scored on a 37-yard run early in the second period to set the stage for Derschon's three consecutive scores.

Class 2A

Cascade Christian 48, Monroe 7: Josh Davis threw five touchdown passes to lead the No. 6-ranked Challengers in the quarterfinal win in Medford.

Devin Simmons scored on an 80-yard kickoff return in the second quarter for the No. 2 Dragons.
