PERRIS, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 13, 2001

Modtech Holdings, Inc. (Company) (Nasdaq:MODT MODT Mobile on Desktop ) today announced the election of Michael G. Rhodes, the Company's chief operating officer Chief Operating Officer (COO)

The officer of a firm responsible for day-to-day management, usually the president or an executive vice-president.
, to its board of directors.

Rhodes joined the Company's predecessor, Modtech Inc., in 1988, and was elected chief operating officer in 1996.

Patrick Van Den Bossche has left employment with the Company, and has stepped down as a board member, to pursue other opportunities. Van Den Bossche will remain as a consultant to the Company.
