(IMPII) has been issued a US Government Export License to conduct sales of Underwater Acoustic Ranges and support watercraft to the Brazilian Navy The Brazilian Navy (Portuguese: Marinha do Brasil) is the navy of Brazil. It is the largest navy in Latin America, with a 27,307-ton aircraft carrier, the NAeL São Paulo (formerly FS Foch .

, Brazil. The Von Suckow Group will provide marketing and sales support in Brazil, Argentina, Chile, and Columbia for Modern's multi-mission multi-modular rigid hull inflatable boat An inflatable boat is a lightweight boat constructed with its sides and bow made of flexible tubes containing pressurised gas. For smaller boats, the floor and hull beneath it is often flexible.  line (RHIB RHIB Rigid Hull Inflatable Boat (also see RIB) ).

Through the Von Suckow Trade Group, serving as the Brazilian in-country agent, the company is anticipating conclusive action resulting in a significant sale to the Brazilian Navy. Technically specific electronic equipment, waterborne training, and procedural maintenance are included in implementing three acoustic torpedo test ranges built to US Navy specifications. Application specific support watercraft will be designed, built, and supplied by Modern MFG Services, Inc.

A delegation from Brazil has visited the Underwater Acoustic Test Range Facilities near Vancouver, BC. A return delegation from the US Navy is required to travel to Brazil to conduct a site visit and finalize the demographic and technical specifications for the installation of the three acoustic torpedo test ranges. While inspecting existing ranges, the Brazilian delegation received a demonstration of the typical watercraft that will be used for range services. Modern will discuss the parameters required to develop a uniquely capable RHIB-based craft for launch and recovery of test units.

The Company's proposed sale of these acoustic torpedo test ranges is estimated at approximately $3 million each (total $9 million), without watercraft. Requiring several RHIB watercrafts for each range increases the total project by $7,200,000 approximating potential sales of $16 million, deliverable over next two years. Under the proposal, IMPII would provide the RHIB watercraft, and the Company would procure the acoustic torpedo test ranges either directly from the U.S. Navy or U.S. Navy technical contractor, both to be exported under the provisions of the permit specially granted for such sensitive military type hardware and related technology.
