Modell's moves to Brooklyn.

Robert K. Futterman & Associates, LLC (RKF), the nation's leading independent real estate firm specializing in retail leasing and investment sales, has completed a transaction that will bring Modell's Sporting Goods to 2101 Church Ave. in Brooklyn. The sporting apparel and accessories retailer took 20,000 SF of space at the former Kenmore Theater for a term of 20 years.

Barry Fishbach and David Rosenberg, executive vice presidents with RKF, served as exclusive agents for the landlord, Sol Cohen, and negotiated the transaction for both parties.

The landlord is redeveloping the 40,000-SF former Kenmore Theater, a historic destination that was once one of Brooklyn's best-known movie theaters. The property is located between Flatbush Avenue and East 21 Street, near Erasmus Hall High School. Modell's signed the first lease for the repositioned site, taking 4,000 SF on the first floor and 16,000 SF on the second floor.
