Mobius Management Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq: MOBI) a leading provider of Web-based software for managing and presenting enterprise content, today introduced Automatic Content Presentment(TM) (ACP) at the Xplor 2001 Global Conference and Exhibit.

ACP is a new feature in DocumentDirect(R) for the Internet version 2.1 that provides flexible presentment options and improved efficiency for content-intensive e-business applications.

DocumentDirect for the Internet allows users to view diverse documents using a standard Web browser without downloading plug-ins or ActiveX controls. Automatic Content Presentment facilitates presentment by converting the entire document into a Web-ready format such as HTML or scalable vector graphics (SVG) that can be displayed in the browser without requiring conversion to an image. This preserves the display characteristics of the original document and is useful, for example, in customer service. By providing a customer service representative with a Web-based display that is an exact replica of a paper document, ACP technology streamlines communication with the customer.

With DocumentDirect for the Internet, documents in formats such as AFP, DJDE, PCL, PostScript, PDF, XML and text are converted - while still on the server - into browser-friendly formats including HTML, vector markup language (VML), scalable vector graphics (SVG), PDF, and PNG or JPEG images. These formats provide maximum flexibility for different requirements. For example, SVG provides high-resolution viewing and printing at a fraction of the size of image documents, which makes documents available faster and preserves network bandwidth. PNG and JPEG image formats, on the other hand, provide increased security because the images cannot be easily altered by the end user.
