Mobius Announces 2002 Customer Awards for Leading-edge e-Business Applications; Eleventh Annual Users Conference Focuses on the Bottom Line.

Mobius Management Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq: MOBI) today announced the winners of the annual Mobius customer recognition awards, presented this year to 16 companies whose implementations of Mobius software meet the highest standards for innovation and business impact.

The awards were given at the eleventh annual Mobius Users Group Conference, held in February at the Opryland Hotel in Nashville, Tennessee. The winners were chosen from among hundreds of software applications.

"Every year, our customers come to the conference to exchange ideas and learn about new ways that Mobius technology can strategically benefit their organizations," said Joseph Tinnerello, senior vice president of marketing at Mobius. "This year, they also learned about exciting new software from Mobius that rounds out our total content management offering. New products in areas like workflow, document management and Web publishing will help them leverage the enterprise content repositories they have built with our ViewDirect(R) technology."

The following are this year's winners:

Alltel Information Systems, a leader in enterprise networks and wireless communications, received the award for best customer care. Alltel uses ViewDirect to streamline customer service by integrating AFP-format bill images from four separate billing systems images in a centralized repository along with wireline and wireless non-bill reports. The information is instantly available to service representatives via a Web browser.

Discover Financial Services, the number two issuer of credit cards in the United States, was honored for vision and competitive advantage. Using ViewDirect for online viewing of information in multiple formats, Discover has saved $1.9 million a year in microfiche costs, reduced paper usage by 25%, and provided 3,500 users quick and easy access to customer information.

Fleet National Bank, a global diversified financial services company, won the award for enterprise content management. ViewDirect gives almost 5,000 Fleet users online access to more than 15 million pages of diverse content.

Hartford Steam Boiler (HSB), the world's leading equipment breakdown insurer, was honored for enterprise report distribution. HSB integrated document access with an existing site used for policy information and also created a new Intranet site to support ad-hoc access to 485,000 enterprise documents.

Kawasaki Motors Company (KMC), one of the leading manufacturers of diverse products for use on land, sea and in the air, was also recognized for enterprise report distribution. KMC uses ViewDirect to archive and distribute enterprise documents to almost 500 employees and more than 1,500 dealers. Recently, KMC chose Mobius software for imaging financial documents to reduce hardcopy storage costs and provide online access.

KeyCorp, one of the nation's largest multi-line financial services companies, was honored for the best check imaging and enterprise content management solution. ViewDirect is at the core of KeyCorp's strategic solution for eliminating paper and leveraging the Internet, which will speed information delivery and improve customer service by providing Web-based access to enterprise documents. The vast range of content in the system will include more than 7 million computer-generated pages of information, 5-6 million daily check images, customer statements and various management reports for Key's lines of business.

McGraw-Hill Companies, a global information services provider, was recognized for their innovative imaging and customer service application.

Philippine Long Distance Telephone Company, the Philippines' principal supplier of domestic and international telecommunications services and one of the largest telecommunications firms in Asia, was chosen as the Click-n-Done(R) implementation of the year. Using Click-n-Done, PLDT will offer electronic bill presentment and payment services to its 3 million residential customers and 35,000 retail and commercial customers.

Raymond James Financial was chosen as the best e-statement presentment solution. Raymond James, one of the largest financial services firms with 2,100 branches located throughout the United States, uses ViewDirect to manage, present and electronically distribute enterprise content. Brokers have browser-based access to customer statements, confirmations, tax reporting documentation and daily reports generated by enterprise applications.

Scottish Courage, the leading brewer in the United Kingdom and one of the largest in the world, was selected as the best ViewDirect/SAP implementation. Scottish Courage relies on the Mobius SAP-certified ArchiveLink(TM) interface to provide a report archiving and distribution system to its users. ViewDirect serves as a central repository for all SAP R/3 electronic documents, making them quickly and easily available throughout the enterprise.

Southern Farm Bureau Casualty Insurance (SFBC) was recognized for the most innovative imaging and customer service application. ViewDirect, the backbone of SFBC's document-centric infrastructure, is used to create "virtual folders" of all customer information, including scanned images of applications, digital photographs associated with claims, correspondence and more. The folder can be instantly accessed by SFBC service representatives.

The State of Delaware was selected as the best enterprise report management solution for innovative use of the ViewDirect PeopleSoft interface for distributing PeopleSoft reports. The State uses PeopleSoft to support its 35,000 employees, who will soon be able to see their direct deposit checks via ViewDirect and a Web browser.

Tarrant County of Fort Worth, Texas was recognized for the best local government application for their innovative use of Mobius technology for archiving and delivery of all county records, including text reports, criminal justice and land records, to 4,000 county employees.

Teachers Insurance & Annuity Association, one of the largest financial service providers in the world, was honored for a state-of-the-art Web delivery solution.

Western United Insurance Company (WUI) was selected for its implementation of the most innovative B2B application. WUI, a California-based automobile insurance carrier, has utilized Mobius technology to deliver auto policy/agent reports to over 110 field agents via the Web, soon to grow to more than 250 agents. WUI anticipates savings in the costs of paper, mail and distribution.

Westpac Trust, one of the largest banks in New South Wales Australia, was recognized for the most innovative check image archive implementation.

The Mobius Users Group Conference is an annual forum for users of Mobius software to convene and learn about new software techniques, gather application ideas and gain first-hand knowledge of cutting edge new product releases. Attendees can choose from more than 75 informative sessions, many of which are led by Mobius customers.
