MobileSys Establishes Regional Headquarters in Asia.

Business Editors/High-Tech Writers

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 30, 2001

MobileSys Extends Global Presence Into Asia With New Hong Kong Offices

and Strategic Partnerships with ATOS ORIGIN, C&T Group and Asian

Bourses Corporation

MobileSys, Inc., the leading global wireless infrastructure services provider, today announced its expansion into Asia with three new strategic partnerships, the appointment of Siu-Fung Chan as general manager of MobileSys Asia, and new Hong Kong headquarters and data center.

MobileSys offers the Mobile Communications Solution(TM) to free enterprises from having to build their own infrastructure for wireless messaging. The Mobile Communications Solution(TM) includes the MobileSys Network, to assist customers who want a secure, reliable service for message delivery to global carriers and their users' devices. Also included is MobileSys MX(TM), messaging software that can be fully integrated into existing enterprise applications, allowing businesses to push mission-critical text messages and actionable alerts over any wireless protocol to any data-enabled device.

In a recent Gartner(a) report, total mobile subscribers in Asia/Pacific and Japan reached 229.61 million during the last quarter of 2000, an increase of 13 percent over the previous quarter. China, with 24 percent quarterly growth, set the pace in the world's fastest growing market.

"We've been monitoring the explosive growth of the Asian wireless market, and mobilizing Asian enterprises with our new partners, data center and local Asian MobileSys professionals is key to our long term growth strategy," said MobileSys founder, president and chief executive officer David Coelho.

MobileSys Signs Three New Strategic Partners

MobileSys has created alliances with IT services companies ATOS ORIGIN, C&T Group and financially-focused e-business company Asian Bourses Corporation to bring MobileSys' wireless messaging capabilities and infrastructure management to Asian enterprise and e-business customers.

"By partnering with MobileSys, all our existing e-business solutions can immediately be made accessible through mobile devices," said ATOS ORIGIN managing director Dominic Tsang. "MobileSys Mobile Communications Solution(TM) gives our clients the advantage of extending their existing IT investment without the capital investments."

"The MobileSys Mobile Communications Solution(TM) fits well in our strategy to bring best-of-breed IT solutions for our customers," said C&T Group senior vice president and chief technology officer Andrew So. "By pre-integrating C&T and MobileSys solutions, we can significantly reduce the time-to-deployment and up-front investment for our customers in their mobile enablement projects."

"Asian Bourses sees great synergies with MobileSys, which we see as the registered mail of the new economy, carrying our mission-critical financial content to investors around the world," said Asian Bourses chairman and CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization. Experienced Local Leadership

MobileSys is proud to appoint Siu-Fung Chan as general manager of MobileSys Asia. Chan will lead the regional team to work closely with local wireless carriers, application and system vendors and solution providers to offer integrated mobile business solutions to enterprise customers using MobileSys MX and the global MobileSys network. Under Chan's guidance, the new Hong Kong-based data center will allow fast connections and direct wireless data delivery, while a MobileSys point of presence directly routes message traffic in Asia.
