Mobil Introduces Pegasus 805 Gas Engine Oil Globally.

FAIRFAX, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 11, 1998--Mobil announced Monday the introduction worldwide of Mobil Pegasus 805(TM) engine oil for natural gas powered engines.

Developed to be fully compatible with all existing Pegasus-branded engine oils, Mobil Pegasus 805 is made from the highest quality selected base stocks, provides excellent oxidation, nitration and thermal stability, with reduced levels of carbon and sludge formation, and was designed to extend oil drain intervals by 1.5 - 2 times the existing oil life.

"The new formulation builds upon the Mobil history of providing outstanding performance benefits for our customers," said Geoff Zippel, global industrial lubricants lubricants

"Pegasus 805 has substantially raised the standard and now offers improved performance and greater value than any other gas engine oil on the market today. In addition to the extended drain capability, the product has superior resistance to foaming, exhibits good demulsibility and provides protection against corrosion."

Mobil Pegasus 805 is designed to provide the highest level of performance and protection in all turbocharged, naturally aspirated, medium to high speed, four-cycle gas engines of all major builders in applications where an oil with medium ash level is required.

"Pegasus 805 minimizes ash deposits in lean-burn engines and in stoichiometric stoi·chi·om·e·try

Equipment builders worldwide often specify Mobil's optimum performance lubricants because Mobil engineers understand, better than any other provider, their customers specific lubrication lubrication, introduction of a substance between the contact surfaces of moving parts to reduce friction and to dissipate heat. A lubricant may be oil, grease, graphite, or any substance—gas, liquid, semisolid, or solid—that permits free action of  needs.
