1 PICK YOUR BEST BERRY

Cool berry tones, like raspberry, work on light, olive and dark skin. Warm-reddish tones, like this cranberry gloss, work on beige, yellow and caramel skin.

2 GO OFF THE DEEP END

Don't be afraid of the dark--gloss, that is. The sheerer the texture of your product, the deeper your color can go.

3 GIVE BERRY THE BRUSH UP

Apply darker lipstick hues with awide lip-brush, then blend the edges with a cotton swab to avoid a harsh look. "Keep your mouth looking full and romantic," says Brigitte.

4 PERFECT MATCH

Matching your polish to your lips used to be a no-no, but not any longer. Our favorite? Plum polish on short, rounded nails.

5 WILD BERRIES

During the day, pair a berry mouth with a little neutral shadow and sheer blush. Going out? Add steel and silver shadow to take your look from girlie to glare.
