The US subsidiary of Japan's largest real estate company, Mitsui Fudosan Co., Ltd., announced the appointment of Graham J. Bond as chief operating officer Chief Operating Officer (COO)

Bond, an industry veteran, will work with the MFA See multifactor authentication.  executive team to engineer the resurgence of the company in the American market.

In a statement, the company said Bond, in this newly created position, will help execute the firm's multi-phased strategy, focused on building a broad-based platform of activities.

"We are extremely pleased to have Graham on board," said MFA President and CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization. Typically the president of the company, the CEO reports to the Chairman of the Board.  Kosei Murakami.

"He has the experience, capability, and track record to help us achieve our corporate strategy in the American market and to enable us to play a key role in attaining the objectives of Mitsui Fudosan on a global scale."

"This is a strategy based on a long-term commitment to the market. We plan to build-out our business here in the US upon sound investment principles, a keen knowledge of the market, and targeted acquisitions." He came to Morgan Stanley in late 2003 through its acquisition of Lend Lease Real Estate Investments, where he had been a principal since joining in 1993.

His other positions included COO of The Yarmouth Group and prior to that COO of Richard Ellis, Inc. USA.

Mitsui Fudosan America, Inc. first entered the US real estate market in the early 1970's with, among others, its acquisition and re-development of the renowned Halekulani Hotel in Waikiki, Hawaii.

Subsequent investments were made in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Washington, D.C. and New York. MFA's flagship commercial property is located in Rockefeller Center at 1251 Avenue of Americas in New York, one of the city's most prestigious business addresses.
