Mitsui & Co. and Atoga Systems Announce Strategic Partnership; Atoga Systems Expands to Asia with the OAR Family of DWDM Products.

FREMONT, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 4, 2002

Mitsui & Co., a premier distributor of networking equipment, and Atoga Systems Inc., a leading vendor of tunable metro DWDM systems, announced today that they have entered into a strategic relationship agreement under which Mitsui & Co. will bring Atoga's Optical Application Router (OAR) family of metro DWDM platforms to market in Japan.

This agreement expands Mitsui's leadership portfolio of networking products and provides Atoga with an established, highly respected partner for rapidly entering the growing metro networking market in Japan.

In addition to the reseller agreement, Mitsui & Co. also has made a strategic investment in Atoga, further strengthening the long-term mutual commitment between the two companies.
