) - Mitsui Mitsui: see zaibatsu.  & Co. has completed a US$50 million investment in Brightstar Corp., the leader of wireless supply chain and distribution services companies in the world. Under the terms of the investment, Mitsui will hold one of the largest shareholder positions including a seat on the board of directors of Brightstar.

A focus is on Brightstar's new operations in Southeast Asia Southeast Asia, region of Asia (1990 est. pop. 442,500,000), c.1,740,000 sq mi (4,506,600 sq km), bounded roughly by the Indian subcontinent on the west, China on the north, and the Pacific Ocean on the east.  with regional headquarters in Singapore supporting the Philippines, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand and Vietnam.
