Mitsubishi makes major investment.


MITSUBISHI Mitsubishi: see zaibatsu.  MAKES MAJOR INVESTMENT. Mitsubishi Paper, Tokyo Tokyo (tō`kēō), city (1990 pop. 8,163,573), capital of Japan and of Tokyo prefecture, E central Honshu, at the head of Tokyo Bay. , Japan, has revealed a Yen 40 billion (US$ 342 million) investment plan. The company says half of this investment will be used to improve production capacity of printing writing paper at its Hachinohe Hachinohe (hächē`nōhā), city (1990 pop. 241,057), Aomori prefecture, N Honshu, Japan, on the Oirase River and the Pacific Ocean. It is a fishing and commercial port, agricultural market, and industrial and commercial center.  mill, bringing annual production to 90,000 metric tons. The remaining half will be used to upgrade the Kyoto and Takasago mills.
