Mitsubishi Electric to Market New Digital CCTV System with 1.6TB Hard Disk Capacity.


Tokyo, Japan, Oct 19, 2005 - (JCNN JCNN Japan Corporate News Network ) - Mitsubishi Electric Mitsubishi Electric Corporation (三菱電機株式会社   will bring to market the Digital Melook, a new digital closed circuit television (CCTV CCTV

) system, on October 21. The system comprises two network recorders (NR-7116/7110), which are available from November 21, and three types of Network Viewer, an application to control cameras and recorders. The Digital Melook can be used in playing fields, buildings, or for general purposes.

The NR-7116 is equipped with the industry's largest 1.6TB hard drive and can control up to 64 cameras at once and store up to 30 frames per second for smoother image recording. The levels of RAIDs (redundant arrays of inexpensive disks Redundant Arrays of Inexpensive Disks - Redundant Arrays of Independent Disks ) can be selected from 0, 1, and 5 for providing higher recording reliability.

The NR-7100 uses a 1TB hard drive and can records images from up to 32 cameras.
