Mitsubishi Electric Power Products Celebrates Grand Opening of New Headquarters and Factory.

WARRENDALE, Pa.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 9, 2003

Mitsubishi Electric Mitsubishi Electric Corporation (三菱電機株式会社   Power Products Inc. (MEPPI MEPPI Mitsubishi Electric Power Products, Inc. ) announced the grand opening of its new 50,000-square-foot headquarters and engineering office and factory.

The celebration began at 10 a.m. with tours of the new facility, followed by a brief ceremony and lunch for employees and guests.

The new headquarters and factory bring Mitsubishi Electric's investment in Warrendale to more than $20 million. Just a short walk from MEPPI's original buildings, the new facility occupies a 12-acre site, which will allow a doubling of its office and factory size in the future.

It accommodates the MEPPI corporate staff, engineering and administrative personnel of the company's project businesses: Substations, Power Systems, Ozone Water Treatment Systems, Industrial Systems and Rail Transportation. It also houses training facilities, meeting rooms, a video conferencing See videoconferencing.

 center, cafeteria and a fitness center, which will be available to all of the company's employees.

The factory will be used for manufacturing, testing and servicing products for the company's project businesses. With the original offices and factory dedicated to MEPPI's growing circuit breaker circuit breaker, electric device that, like a fuse, interrupts an electric current in a circuit when the current becomes too high.
