Mitsubishi Digital Electronics America Ships Super-Quiet XL550 Projector.


Robust, High-Value Projector Lets Audience Hear the Presentation, Not the Projector

IRVINE, Calif. -- Mitsubishi Digital Electronics America's Presentation Products Division, known for award-winning, high-quality presentation and display products, has introduced its XL550U, an XGA (EXtended Graphics Array) A screen resolution of 1,024x768 pixels. The term stems from IBM's XGA display standard introduced in 1990, which extended VGA to 132-column text and interlaced 1,024x768x256 resolution. XGA-2 later added non-interlaced 1,024x768x64K.  resolution (1024 x 768 pixels), low noise projector that lets users hear a presentation and not the projector's fans. Combined with a low price tag, the XL550U is perfect for business, schools, small offices, home offices, and houses of worship.

Mitsubishi's new XL550U uses three LCDs and provides 3100 ANSI lumens A measurement of light that has been standardized by ANSI. It is commonly used to rate the brightness of a data projector. An ANSI lumen rating uses an average of several measurements taken across the face of the light source.  and a convenient side-loading lamp which makes lamp replacement quick, simple and efficient, saving both time and money. Users don't have to remove the whole projector from its mount; they just extract the old lamp from the side and plug in the new replacement. It also has a long-lamp life of 5000 hours in low mode, making replacements few and far between.

Network management is also available with the XL550's RJ45 connectivity for LAN (Local Area Network) A communications network that serves users within a confined geographical area. The "clients" are the user's workstations typically running Windows, although Mac and Linux clients are also used.  asset management control of up to 200 projectors using the industry standard PJ-Link. Its RS232c connection makes it simple to integrate with third-party control systems, and an anti-theft security anchor is built into the back of the unit to deter any unapproved un·ap·proved
