Misys CPR and Wellsoft EDIS Partner to Provide Superior Emergency Department Solution Providing Better Continuity of Care Throughout the Hospital

The partnership enables Misys to offer Wellsoft EDIS as part of Misys CPR[R], an enterprise-wide Web-based solution that delivers enterprise clinical information management via integrated computerized physician order entry (CPOE). Misys will market the solution as Misys ED featuring an integrated workflow with Misys CPR.

According to healthcare consulting group Bristol Group Mitretek, more than 13 million patients per year are admitted through hospital emergency departments nationally, a figure that represents over 40 percent of all hospital admissions.
